Where the wine comes from…….?
The Neusiedlersee wine-growing region is situated on the eastern shores of the large, shallow steppe lake, the Neusiedlersee or Lake Neusiedl. The designated vineyard area stretches from the wine town of Gols in the north, through the flat terrains of the Heideboden and down to the Seewinkel, adjacent to the Hungarian border. A wide variety of grapes flourish on its 18 901 acres.
Located in Gols, a small village in the region Neusiedlersee. Ourself, we cultivate 210 acres in Burgendland and 98 acres of vineyards are under contract, some of them located in Lower Austria. This gives us the possibilty to extend our wine portfolio. The wines are fermented and matured in our own cellars.
In 2014, Mr. Robert Payr, winemaker in the 4th generation, chairman of the Carnuntum wineries, Mr. Harald Lehner as winegrower, Mr. Rudolf Trischler as initiator, expert for international markets and trends, Sabine Basista, in charge for photography and design, created a new line „UNA.WINE„ which should match the taste of our Austrian and International clients.
